The Immigration Assistant is primarily responsible for providing general support to the DOJ Accredited Representatives through a variety of tasks and activities. The position will assist with the preparation of documents and applications and engage in frequent customer/client contact. They must project a professional image on behalf of the agency through in-person and phone interactions.
The ideal candidate must be fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong oral and written communication skills. They should have the ability to work effectively with diverse populations from various ethnic backgrounds and possess excellent speaking and active listening skills. Strong organizational abilities, multitasking capabilities, and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel is required. Candidates must also have knowledge of and a commitment to Catholic social teachings and the mission of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh. A valid NC driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for business use are necessary, along with authorization to work in the U.S. This role may require travel and occasional work beyond regular hours, including weekends and evenings as needed.
