The Home Repair Specialist will be responsible for performing construction projects of homes undergoing repair, maintenance, or reconstruction as well as leading volunteer teams as they work on Catholic Charities projects.
Construction experience; knowledge of construction management processes and methods; understanding of building products, construction details, and relevant regulations and quality standards; ability to teach volunteers; HUD HQS Inspection Certification or ability to obtain certification upon employment; effective verbal and non-verbal communication and listening skills; clear driving record upon employment; ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment with multiple projects, deadlines, and timelines, and respond quickly as needed; physical ability to twist, bend, crawl, reach, and perform other actions on job sites; ability to lift 50 pounds or more; computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite; no General Contractor license required.
*Job responsibilities will involve travel and work beyond the regularly scheduled workdays, including weekends and evenings as scheduled.
