Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh has a long history of serving our most vulnerable neighbors through disaster services, food pantries, providing financial assistance for things like rent and utilities, and through immigration legal services. Our immigration staff are accredited by the Department of Justice and are knowledgeable about current laws, evaluate if clients are eligible for services, and assist clients in following immigration laws. For the list of legal processes staff support families through, please visit our website www.CatholicCharitiesRaleigh.org/Immigration.

“We are proud of our Immigration Legal Services Program, and our dedicated staff and volunteers who help hard working families through the complicated immigration process each day and we remain committed to this work,” shared Lisa Perkins, Chief Executive Officer.

The Gospel of Matthew calls Christians to see everyone as “Christ” in the flesh. Christ said those who cared for him were “blessed.” I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. – Matthew 25:35

“We pray that our migrant and refugee families who help make our communities stronger will be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve,” Perkins added.
