Regional Programs

Adoption

For nearly 60 years, Catholic Charities provided services to support the adoption process, including home study services and “agency” adoptions. Adoption services for Catholic Charities officially closed on September 30, 2020. Former clients with questions can visit the program page for more information.

Centro la Comunidad

Centro La Comunidad, a program of Catholic Charities, is a Latino resource center located in Burlington, NC and serves individuals in Alamance County. The center provides information and referral services, goal-oriented case management, immigration legal services, employment services, disaster response services, community workshops, and advocacy.

Catholic Parish Outreach Food Pantry

CPO provides emergency supplemental food for clients who experience more “month than money”. Individuals are able to access about a week of groceries once every 30 days. CPO also provides maternity as well as birth through pre-school children’s clothing, diapers, formula, and baby food to provide a strong start for young children.

Centro para Familias Hispanas

Centro para Familias Hispanas, a program of Catholic Charities, empowers Hispanic families as they overcome barriers by providing direct services and connections to community resources.

Counseling

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh provides professionally-trained bilingual clinical counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.

Durham Community Food Pantry

The Durham Community Food Pantry, a program of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh, works to end food insecurity in Durham and Orange counties. The program is a collaborative effort engaging multiple partners through Durham and Orange counties to address this incredibly important need.

NC Catholics Volunteer

The NC Catholics Volunteer program provides volunteer opportunities for home repair projects. Projects include repairs and rebuilds following natural disasters as well as home safety repairs.

Senior Pharmacy Program

The Senior Pharmacy Program (SPP) of Catholic Charities assists low-income seniors, ages 6O and over, with prescription costs and specific medical supplies to help manage their chronic illnesses.

St. Michaels SHARES

The St. Michael’s SHARES ministry is a parish-based program where a Catholic Charitie staff member helps families achieve, or move closer to, self-sufficiency and more stable lives.

Wrapped with Love

The Wrapped with Love program distributes toys to children in the week before Christmas. Registration opens in the fall with programs hosted in Greenville, Fayetteville, Raleigh, and Wilmington.
