Programs
The Senior Pharmacy Program (SPP) of Catholic Charities assists low-income seniors of all faiths or no faith tradition increase their ability to purchase medications to manage chronic illness. After an application is completed and approved by staff and funding is available, seniors aged 60 and over receive vouchers for prescription costs and limited medical supplies. Vouchers are provided electronically through a partnership with participating pharmacies. The SPP program also assist seniors to improve or maintain compliance with their medications.

We provide limited financial assistance for rent, utilities and emergency food cards as funding is available. We also direct those in need to resources we do not provide.
Our Financial Assistance Services are available at the New Bern Office Monday and Tuesday of every week.
- We are also available every 2nd Wednesday of the month at St. Egbert Church in Morehead City (Carteret County)
- 1st and 3rdWednesday of the month at Mother of Mercy Church in Washington (Beaufort County)
- Every Thursday at at Pamlico County Loaves and Fishes (Oriental, NC)

Individuals work with staff to improve their economic mobility and maintain a stable living situation. Examples of ways that staff work with clients include, but are not limited to: providing financial literacy courses, guiding individuals through the employment search process, assisting in establishing personal budget goals, and providing education for improving English language skills.
Clinical Counseling
Services are $35 for uninsured or low income individuals/families. Services are available online or in person.

Caridades Católicas de la Diócesis de Raleigh brinda servicios de asesoramiento clínico bilingüe con capacitación profesional a personas, parejas y familias que:
• Están experimentando angustia emocional.
• Quieren crecer hasta alcanzar su máximo potencial.
• Tienen dificultades para lidiar con el estrés, la depresión o la ansiedad.
• Desean aumentar sus habilidades para afrontar las luchas de la vida.
• Deseo de curación del dolor, la pérdida o las relaciones tensas.
• Desregulación del comportamiento en niños de 3 años+
Los servicios de asesoramiento se brindan desde una perspectiva que reconoce los aspectos emocionales, conductuales, cognitivos, espirituales y físicos de la curación o el crecimiento de un individuo.
Los servicios cuestan $35 para personas/familias sin seguro o de bajos ingresos. Servicios están disponible en línea o en persona.
