On December 10, 2013, Pope Francis called on Catholics worldwide to take part in a Prayer Against Hunger. Chronic hunger and undernourishment impacts nearly one billion people. This week’s editions of Catholic Perspective and Catholic Weekly feature an interview with Mr. Gary Skinner, executive director of Catholic Charities. Catholic Perspective, the weekly TV program also includes Wanda Collazo, director of the Fayetteville Regional Office, and Terry Foley, director of Catholic Parish Outreach, discussing the increase they are witnessing of clients coming to their doors in need of food.

In addition to the interview with Mr. Skinner, Catholic Weekly will feature an interview with author Amy Welborn on her new book titled Bambinelli Sunday, which took place yesterday at the Vatican, with Pope Francis blessing the Christ Child figures brought to Saint Peter’s Square by children.
